Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026

This policy covers browsing pages, reading documentation, and accessing download links on the V2Ray for Linux website. The site provides client information and setup guides. Website data handling is separate from data handling by the client while it runs; review the relevant service policies for each.

1. Scope and Data Collection

This is a static content website. It does not offer account registration, ask you to provide an email address, or collect identity details such as your name or phone number through forms. You can read documentation, compare clients, and visit download pages without submitting a personal profile.

When your browser requests a webpage, it sends information needed to complete the connection to the server hosting the page, such as your IP address, request time, page path, browser type, and response status. Network service providers may use this information to create access logs for handling requests, detecting unusual traffic, and troubleshooting page issues.

The site does not ask you to submit subscription URLs, node configurations, or client logs. Subscription links may contain access credentials. Do not include a complete link in page URL parameters or anywhere else that is publicly visible.

2. Traffic Analytics and How They’re Used

The site uses traffic analytics to understand page views and how visitors use site features. This may include pages visited, referral pages, device and browser categories, and interactions such as switching platforms on download pages. Browser settings and the policies of referring sites affect what information is actually transmitted.

Analytics help determine whether documentation is easy to find, which platform guides need more detail, and whether navigation or download links present any obstacles. Analytics data does not indicate whether a download succeeded, an installation was completed, or a proxy connection was established. The site does not use it to infer the client’s actual operating status.

The site does not use these pages to access client node lists, proxy traffic, chat content, or local files. Website analytics are not used to display individual browsing histories or create public user profiles.

3. Cookies, Local Storage, and Browser Settings

A static webpage does not guarantee that your browser saves no data. Depending on its deployment settings, the analytics component may use cookies or similar identifiers. Site features may also use local storage to remember interface preferences. You can check what is stored in your browser’s site data settings. Browser cache and account information are not the same thing.

You can restrict cookies, clear this site’s data, or limit scripts in your browser. Clearing site data may reset saved preferences. Restricting scripts may affect the navigation drawer, platform tabs, and dynamic updates to download links.

Browser restrictions may reduce the amount of analytics data sent, but they do not prevent the network requests needed to serve pages or the service logs associated with them. Private browsing does not make your requests invisible to network service providers.

4. Download Sources and Service Boundaries

The download page links to installers for v2rayN, v2rayNG, and v2flyNG, with links updated from a version manifest. Files are served by download services rather than stored alongside this site’s static pages. Requests may be routed through a same-origin proxy or redirected to the file provider.

When you open a file link, the service hosting or relaying the download receives the request information needed to transfer the file. If you are redirected to a third-party page, its data handling is governed by that service’s own policy; this policy does not replace the third party’s privacy notice.

Permissions requested after installing a client, subscription updates, and proxy connections are handled by the client and related services. This site provides instructions but does not receive your subscription configuration or operate proxy connections on your behalf. Review the client’s prompts and verify the subscription source before granting access.

5. Policy Updates and Questions

This policy will be updated if changes to site features, analytics settings, or download flows affect data handling. The updated month will appear at the top of the page. Refer to the current version published here. To review changes, you may keep a copy of a previous version for comparison.

If you have questions about data involved in a particular site action, first check the instructions in the User Guide. For help distinguishing the responsibilities of the client and the website, see the FAQs in the Full Documentation. Before reviewing or describing an issue, remove subscription URLs, access credentials, and personal network information.
